Navigation might seem complex through the uninformed eye. Yet, we assure you, it\u2019s easy. We made it that way, with you in mind.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sending and receiving Voxer messages is the primary reason you came to Voxer after all. So, ensuring that your messages get delivered to your loved ones or team members and that conversation is reciprocated is necessary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since back and forth communication is neverending, ensuring you\u2019re outfitted for success within Voxer will make it all the more smoother.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here is a quick overview of how you can set up messages you send as well as incoming messages you receive:<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>How to Set up Messaging Controls for Groups<\/h2>\n<h3>Admin Controls:<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When creating a new group chat you will be given a prompt to enable Admin controls per your choosing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first step, to decide whether you\u2019ll want to enable this functionality. You\u2019ll determine this depending on whether you\u2019d like to place any restrictions within the chat.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Why you might set Admin controls to on:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To prevent other&#8217;s from changing the name of chat\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A team member is laid off &#8211; you can remove them from the chat<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prevent team members from adding non-essential employees to chat &#8211; this will help minimize chatter.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Authority to recall messages from anyone in the chat as you see fit\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Broadcast Chats:<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Send one-way messages to your entire chat group. By setting up a broadcast chat, only the chat creator can send messages and other members cannot respond. It\u2019s the ideal way to relay important information to the entire group without excessive chatter. Think of it like talking into a megaphone &#8211; everyone will get the memo.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Receiving incoming messages<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When receiving messages within Voxer you will want to make sure you have set your account up for success. Otherwise, you might miss that important message that can\u2019t wait.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here are tools that can help guarantee you don\u2019t miss your notifications:<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>How Urgent is Urgent?<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do you have some group chats that take precedent over others? For emergency situations or chats where you do not want to miss a message, you\u2019ll want to set your chat notifications to extreme.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this mode, you\u2019ll receive these loud and persistent chirps every 15 seconds until the message has been read, 5 minutes have passed or you disable this feature.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Unlimited Message Storage<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some of us are sentimental when it comes to keeping our messages.\u00a0 So why not keep them indefinitely? All messages are saved and stored, but, there are a few exceptions to keep in mind:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voxer.com\/blog\/private-chats-walkie-talkie-end-to-end-encryption-2\/\">Private chat messages<\/a>: It\u2019s crucial to keep in mind that logging out of Voxer at any point will erase all contents. Nothing can bring these messages back up. Why? Messages are end-to-end encrypted.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any cleared messages from a chat (or previously deleted chats) are not available. It is like a text message; once you&#8217;ve deleted it, it is gone. Not even magic can make them return.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To retrieve your older messages, you will need to scroll back as far as you can, pull down to load (refresh) those older messages.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Walkie Talkie Mode:<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t like talking with your hands? Or like talking with your hands and don\u2019t want to hold up your phone. With Walkie Talkie Mode (WTM) talk hands-free while using a headset.
