His communication platform of choice: Voxer. We recently spoke with him and his Campaign Manager, Nicholas Hoskins. They are inspiring and motivating his team of volunteers and field managers all across Virginia via Voxer.<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"4g0e1\" data-offset-key=\"d9s65-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"d9s65-0-0\"><!--more--><\/div>\n<div data-offset-key=\"d9s65-0-0\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h4 data-offset-key=\"d9s65-0-0\"><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 data-offset-key=\"d9s65-0-0\">How it all began.<\/h4>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"4g0e1\" data-offset-key=\"d9s65-0-0\">\n<p data-offset-key=\"d9s65-0-0\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The journey with Voxer began about a year ago when Ivan started experimenting with multiple communication apps. The differentiating factor Voxer had from other apps &#8211; live voice.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 960px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voxer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/22788968_1668575696540463_6158945747799054162_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">***\u00a0Ivan used Voxer last year when he ran 1,776 miles to promote suicide awareness. Clocking 22 miles a day in honor of the 22 veterans who commit suicide daily). ***<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Creating a political campaign takes an army and Ivan noticed that the campaign picked up speed using Voxer as his main source of communication.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Communication is key.<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nick and Ivan communicate with volunteers and field managers via group, one-on-one and broadcast chats. \u00a0Having a reliable source of \u201cinstant communication, and little to no delays,\u201d is imperative to moving with speed and staying quick on their toes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cReliable communication is \u2018100%\u2019 essential to running a good campaign\u201d, said Nick.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Connecting with Community.<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Voxer&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voxer.com\/blog\/2015\/03\/12\/new-feature-alert-send-one-way-messages-to-chat-groups\/\">broadcast chats<\/a> feature has been a lifesaver to the campaign. \u00a0Many times last minute events pop up within a couple of hours. In the past, chain emails was their main source to rally volunteers to attend events. The result: little to no responses. Spreading the word out in seconds and getting responses within minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"d9s65-0-0\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voxer.com\/blog\/2015\/08\/28\/inviting-others-to-group-chats-just-got-easier\/\">Group chats<\/a> have made it easy for the Raiklin team to organize volunteers and ask questions. Best of all, if they aren\u2019t sure if a question has been answered they are able to view sent and read receipts &#8211;\u00a0 never having to repeat themselves. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;It makes it simple to organize and add volunteers to chats as the app reducing the on boarding process,&#8221; said Nick. Rather than having users figure out how to add themselves to a group chat, Nick is able to add them in or send them a chat link. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What Nick likes best about Voxer is that \u201cyou don\u2019t have to be <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">technologically savvy to use it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voxer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/22538682_1657429954321704_4664944343711721004_o-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Raiklin at an event with volunteers in Virginia<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"d9s65-0-0\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ivan commutes over an hour a day. He chooses to spend that time inspiring, motivating and connecting with his volunteers and field managers via Voxer.
